In this poem the other is talking about his shadow.He tells us in this poem that no matter what he does his shadow follows him.Also he says when it is dark outside the shadow is asleep.He says that his shadow mocks him,but thats just because your shadow does exactly what you do.Mr.Robert made a wonderful poem.
